About Fuller Edge Photography By Erin & Chad Fuller

“Fuller Edge Photography is a boutique studio based out of Calgary, Alberta. Chad + Erin are self-taught photographers, with no fancy training , just a desire to create edgy, sexy and totally unique images.
They bring fashion magazine style edginess to wedding and portrait photography. Having photographed weddings all over the world has taught them to say “sorry for trespassing” in many languages”. The Fullers

Questions For Erin & Chad:

1. Where & When did you both decide to become a photographer.

FE – We’ve always loved photography but one afternoon, hanging out in the kitchen, Erin said: hey..what do you think of trying wedding photography….I remember thinking I’m going to pour hot coffee into my eyes if I have to do it all traditional like.

2. When was your first paying photo job

FE – about 5 years ago. We had no wedding portfolio and no website.  but we did know the bride (my sister), so we talked her into hiring us for her wedding and we got paid very little for it.

3. What is your perfect photographic scenario

FE – first we need a couple who is up for anything and everything (which most of our clients are).  and then we look for a location that is totally fuller edge style – its rotting away, abandoned, or just plain old grungy.

4. What’s in your ToolKit (Camera Bag)

FE – Contents..

two brand new canon 5d mark II
six canon 5d (we drop cameras all the time!)
a crap load of canon lenses
pocketwizards
several 580 EX II flashes
garbage bags for our brides to sit on when the ground is disgusting
I like the boda bag and Erin likes the shootsac

5. Favorite Photo Destination

FE – wow that’s tough…I would say anywhere that’s new. we love new locations and that’s one of the reasons we love to travel so much.

6. YouTube or Facebook – Better Trade Tool!!!???

FE – we use neither..but we have jumped on the twitter bandwagon!

7. MAC or PC??? When & Why…

FE – MAC all the way baby!

8. Current actions used (Top 3 Your Own or Developed By Others)

FE – Combining Kevin Kubota and Totally Rad Actions I + II for a customized fuller edge look

9. Red Wine or Beer?

FE – I go for gluten free beer (I’m allergic to the other stuff) and Erin is a white wine kinda girl!

10. Glasses or Contacts (For shooting?)

FE – Contacts…we’re both blind as bats without

11. Favourite Picture Simple Product & Why?

FE – we love the 5×5 trifold card but we’re definitely looking forward to trying out more awesome products that they offer.

Feature Photographer – Ottawa Based Miv Fournier

Posted by picture simple Blog on September 16, 2008

About Miv:

It was at the tender age of fourteen that a young Miv Fournier found his father’s old photo enlarger in the basement of the family home.  This discovery instilled a passion for the photographic medium.

A trip to New York City in 1989 provided Miv the chance to meet professional photographer Jon Simon.  This meeting, and defining moment, was the catalyst: the young Miv Fournier knew his future lay in professional photography.

Miv received his formal photography education in Syracuse NY, with a focus on commercial photography and photojournalism.  After graduating with top honours in his class, Miv travelled through Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Europe, and the surrounding Mediterranean.  While abroad, Miv assisted with many working photographers in an effort to gain invaluable experience, and absorb the many diverse styles of photography and photographic technique.

Miv now runs a successful photography studio in Ottawa’s Westboro Village, and is and active member of WPPI and PPOC.
